City Seeks New Operator for Blue Cross Arena

The City of Rochester is looking for a new operator for the Blue Cross Arena.

The current operator is Rochester Arena LLC, a Pegula-related business.

It notified the city last week that it is opting out of its license.

The company was granted the license in October 2019 and will operate the arena through the end of April 2025.

The city hopes the new operator will be named by this fall to smooth the transition.

The City has issued a Request for Proposals from firms interested in taking over.

Bidders must have successfully managed at least one all-purpose arena with a seating capacity of at least 10,000 persons during the last three years.
