Departing Rochester School Superintendent Carmine Peluso has proposed a $1.07 billion budget for the next school year.
That's 4.4 percent more than the current budget.
He wants to cut 59 mostly support staff positions, while adding positions for special education and English language learning.
The budget assumes a $26 million boost in state aid, but the actual amount of aid has not been finalized.
A public budget hearing is set for April 10.
