Rochester Man Sentenced in Maplewood Neighborhood Murder

A Rochester man convicted in a homicide in the city's Maplewood neighborhood will serve 25 years to life in prison.

Charles Holley was found guilty last month of 2nd-degree murder and 2 gun crimes.

Prosecutors say he gunned down 29-year-old Devon Wilburn in March 2021 at the corner of Dewey and Magee Avenues.

During the trial, prosecutors played security camera video from a corner store that showed Wilburn being shot.

At the time of the shooting, Holley was on parole for a robbery conviction.
