Rochester Man Takes Plea Deal in Deadly Drive-By Shooting

A Rochester man has taken a plea deal in a deadly drive-by shooting.

Twenty-six-year-old Teodoro Rivera Junior pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree murder and a gun crime today.

Prosecutors say Rivera killed Sayyos Rios at North Union and Weld streets last July.

Police say Rivera was driving through the neighborhood in a stolen car and fired at a man standing outside Rios' house.

Rios was on the porch and was hit by a stray bullet, and another man was wounded.

Rivera will be formally sentenced May 14th to 18 years to life in prison.
