Investigators say a Rochester man who shot and killed a man in self-defense in December didn't legally own the gun.
Marshals this week arrested 33-year-old Jose Laureano-Serrano on a felony gun charge.
The shooting happened December 1 at the Popeye's restaurant on East Ridge Road in Irondequoit.
Thirty-year-old Jose Centeno Torres was killed during an argument.
Police say video and eyewitness accounts made it clear that Laureano-Serrano was not the aggressor and was justified in defending himself.
