2nd Defendant in Rochester Store Rape Case Sentenced

The second of two men charged in an incident where a teenage girl was raped at a Rochester corner store -- was sentenced this afternoon to 5 years in prison.

James Hampton pleaded guilty to a weapons charge.

Prosecutors say he was at the store on Central Park in 2021, when Shadad Alghaithy locked the girl inside and sexually assaulted her.

Alghaithy has already been sentenced to 17 years in prison for his guilty plea to rape and weapon charges.
