Rochester police are investigating the death of a one-year-old girl.
Police say she stopped breathing around noon yesterday at the Chatham Gardens Apartments on Kelly Street and rescuers could not revive her.
A source tells Bob Lonsberry an apartment maintenance worker was the first person to respond to a man's cry for help and found a baggie of drugs in the child's mouth.
The worker performed CPR until rescuers arrived.
The police Special Victims Unit is handling the investigation, and the Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death.
