A Rochester parolee who took a plea deal in a November 2022 homicide was formally sentenced today to 22 years in prison.
36-year-old Jerrod Dozier has pleaded guilty in November to first-degree manslaughter.
Police say Dozier shot 27-year-old Terry Howard Junior in an ambush-style killing on Norton Street.
Howard was in a car that was pulling into a driveway when he was shot.
An adult and two young children were not hurt.
Dozier had been released from prison the previous month on a drug conviction.
