Man Charged in Shooting of ER Police Officer

The man accused of shooting an East Rochester police officer last weekend has been charged with attempted aggravated murder, attempted aggravated assault on a police officer, and two counts of weapon possession.

Raymond Noel is accused of shooting Officer Brad Steve on January 14th.

Police say the officer's bulletproof vest saved his life.

Noel has been arraigned in State Supreme Court after an indictment was unsealed.

He's being held on $500,000 bail.

He'll be back in court on February 7th.
