Jet Skids Off Runway at Rochester's Airport

An American Airlines commuter flight from Philadelphia skidded off the runway and onto snow-covered grass in Rochester this afternoon.

The flight touched down just before 4:00 p.m. at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.

According to texts and videos sent by passengers, the plane was taxiing to the terminal when the pilot made a quick turn and the plane went into a skid.

53 people were aboard the Embraer jet.

Nobody was hurt, but the passengers had to be taken to the terminal in buses.
