Gates police have charged a man in a fatal hit-and-run New Year's Eve.
52-year-old Michael Brodman of Rochester is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
32-year-old Jose Rivera of Rochester was hit and killed while walking on Buffalo Road.
Brodman is being held on $50,000 bail, and the case will be presented to a grand jury.
