The Rochester Regional Health hospitals are temporarily instituting a mask requirement for all staff, patients, and visitors.
The policy is in effect at Rochester General Hospital, Unity Hospital, and St. Lawrence Health, through at least January 16.
The number of patients at Rochester General with COVID rose 33 percent over the holidays.
The mask mandate applies even to people who've been vaccinated.
