Xerox is looking to cut 15 percent of its workforce as part of what it calls a new operating model and organizational structure.
That number could translate to more than 3,000 jobs.
A company news release says the proposed reductions will be subject to formal consultation with local works councils and employee representative bodies, where applicable.
Xerox says it is committed to providing transition support for affected employees.
The company is also announcing some changes to the leadership team.
The local Xerox workforce, mostly in Webster, includes fewer than 2,000 employees.
