Gates police have released the name of a man who was killed New Year's Eve in a hit-and-run accident on Buffalo Road.
He was 32-year-old Jose Rivera of Rochester.
Police are still investigating and attempting to locate the striking vehicle and its driver.
They're asking anyone who knows anything about this to call 911.
