Another Suit Filed to Temporarily Halt NY Cannabis Licenses

Another lawsuit has been filed challenging the state's roll-out of licensed marijuana stores.

The plaintiffs are two license applicants who had marijuana convictions in California.

They claim New York's system of awarding licenses favors New York residents, in violation of a federal clause preventing states from discriminating against interstate commerce.

They want a federal court injunction to stop the state from awarding any more licenses while their case is pending.

There is no comment from the state's Cannabis Control Board.
