Rochester Man Sentenced for Stabbing Father to Death

A Rochester man who admitted stabbing his father to death will serve 15 years in prison.

Prosecutors say 40-year-old Detric Marshall stabbed and killed his 70-year-old father, Charles, during an argument in January at an address on Dayton Street.

Marshall pleaded guilty earlier this year to manslaughter.

Marshall was arrested in North Clinton Avenue soon after the attack.

Police say he was on probation for a drug conviction at the time, and was wanted for skipping a court date for an impaired driving arrest in Perry.
