Rochester Woman Indicted in Baby Son's Death

A 34-year-old Rochester woman has been indicted in the death of her one-year-old son.

Officers responding last month to a report of an unresponsive child at the 10 Manhattan Square apartments found the baby dead in a closet.

The investigation revealed William Nichols died of apparent severe malnourishment and dehydration.

His mother, Passion Anderson, is being held on a second-degree murder charge.

The city has had 56 homicide victims this year.
