A Tunisian citizen is accused of trying to purchase a 5-year-old child in Wyoming County.
Border Patrol officials say 64-year-old Monji Jelassi also tried to entice the child into his vehicle earlier this month.
The child's mother called Perry Police.
Jelassi was in the country on an expired visa, and is now in federal custody in Batavia, pending a deportation hearing.
