The man convicted in a shooting death outside the Clinton Baden Community Center on North Clinton Avenue will serve 25 years to life in prison.
30-year-old Joshua Williams was found guilty of murder and gun crimes in October in the shooting death of Willie Wofford.
It happened in the early morning hours of July 5 last year.
Shots rang out during a party on the basketball court.
Wofford was killed and three people were wounded.
Williams was arrested weeks later in South Carolina.
