UPDATE: Fabian Rivera has tendered his resignation as Macedon Police Chief, and the Town Board has voted to accept it.

Rivera steps aside one day after he was charged with DWI in a crash on Waterford Road Monday morning.

Macedon's Police Chief is in trouble with the law, after a second public intoxication incident in less than a year.

Sources tell our Bob Lonsberry Fabian Rivera was charged with DWI, after he crashed his police pickup near the Gananda schools this morning.

His blood alcohol content was reportedly 2-and-a-half times the legal limit.

Rivera allegedly caused a drunken disturbance at a Macedon restaurant last December, falling over several times and cutting his face, while also threatening the staff.

He wasn't charged, but went on unpaid leave for several weeks.
