A Rochester parolee who was charged in two murders will serve 40 years to life in prison for one of them.
28-year-old Tyrone Jiggets Jr. was convicted of 2nd-degree murder in the shooting death of Juan Pena-Mendez in February of last year on Rialto Street.
Jiggets was on parole at the time from a prior gun crime.
Jiggets was also accused of shooting and killing Luis Morales and wounding two other men last year on North Clinton Avenue.
That case resulted in a hung jury, and has now been dismissed.
