Rochester Parolee Indicted in Homicide of Gates Business Owner

A Rochester man has been indicted in the fatal shooting of a Gates business owner last month.

47-year-old Malik Black is charged with 1st-degree murder and a weapons charge.

Black is accused of killing his former boss, Jessica Romich, in the parking lot of her waterproofing business on Pixley Industrial Parkway September 30th.

Black, formerly known as Ernest Dunham, was on parole after serving 27 years in prison for the murder of Gregory Rodgers on Halloween 1993.

Black remains held without bail.
