Governor Hochul Extends State's Migrant Crisis Executive Order

Governor Hochul has extended the state's executive order dealing with the migrant crisis.

It allows the use of National Guard soldiers to help with support at sites where asylum-seekers are staying.

And it speeds up purchases of necessary supplies.

Hochul first issued the order back in May, and migrants have been moved from New York CIty to sites around the state, including the Holiday Inn in downtown Rochester.

The governor's office says she continues to call on the White House to provide more aid to help with the escalating costs.
