Vickers Convicted on All Counts in Murders of RPD Officer, 2 Others

UPDATE: Kelvin Vickers has been found guilty of the remaining 2 charges against him: aggravated murder in the death of Officer Mazurkiewicz, and aggravated attempted murder in the wounding of Officer Sino Seng.

The aggravated murder charge carries an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole.

Vickers will be sentenced December 7th.

Kelvin Vickers is guilty of 24 of 26 counts in his trial.

Prosecutors say Vickers killed Rochester police officer Tony Mazurkiewicz last July, as well as two rival drug dealers, Myjel Rand and Ricky Collinge, the night before.

The jury will continue to deliberate to reach a verdict in the aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder counts.

Vickers will serve at least 25 to life on murder charges, and could get life without parole.

If he is convicted on the aggravated murder charge, he would get life without parole automatically.
