RG&E Energy Bills Could Be On The Rise

RG&E customers will find out today if their energy bills are going up.

The New York State Public Service Commission will vote on a proposed increase of 19% for electric customers and 20% for natural gas over the next 3 years.

RG&E says the rate hikes will help pay for infrastructure improvements, clean energy investments, and better customer service.

But customers and some local leaders say any increases should be put on hold, citing poor customer service and delays in repairs during storms.
