Man Shot During Struggle With a Rochester Police Officer Now Faces Charges

A man shot during a struggle with a Rochester police officer last month is now facing charges.

Jamie James has been indicted by a Monroe County grand jury on drug and weapons charges, plus assault against a police officer.

James also faces charges after fleeing a traffic stop on Broadway Street earlier last month.

Police released body camera footage of the shooting showing a struggle between James and the officer, with several shots fired.

James was arraigned on the new charges in the hospital, where he's still recovering.
