Application fees are being waived at state colleges and universities during the month of October.
It's to honor New York State Application Month.
This is the first time state schools, along with private institutions in New York, are providing the service.
Governor Hochul said removing this financial barrier enables students who might not have completed the application process due to financial restraints.
