Rochester police have confirmed a murder investigation is underway in the South Wedge.
Police discovered 39-year-old Natasha Graham's body during a welfare check late Tuesday night at an apartment building on Manor Parkway, off Poplar Street.
It was initially called an unattended suspicious death.
Police are not releasing the cause of death, but they say it was an isolated incident.
It's the 42nd homicide in the city so far this year.
