State regulators are weeks away from opening applications for recreational marijuana business licenses to anyone, not just people with prior marijuana convictions.
Under the rules, those new applicants could include operations that have already been licensed to sell medical marijuana.
But people getting into the retail marijuana business are worried those operations with ties to big corporations will squeeze out mom-and-pop stores.
They want the Cannabis Control Board to delay the entry of medical marijuana businesses from getting recreational cannabis licenses.
