Former Rochester Episcopal Diocese Head Faces Abuse Allegations

The former head of the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester has resigned his new post amid abuse allegations.

In a Facebook message from the Diocese, they say Prince Singh has been restricted, meaning he cannot function as a priest or bishop while the claims are investigated.

Singh's son formally accused him of abusing family members, as well as some members of the Rochester diocese.

He served as head of the Rochester Diocese for 14 years, before stepping away in February of last year to take a similar spot for the Dioceses of Eastern and Western Michigan.

The internal investigation into the allegations is expected to take several months.
