Governor Hochul Approves New Laws That Protect Employees in the Workplace

Governor Hochul has signed new laws protecting employees in the workplace.

One bill prohibits employers from disciplining employees that choose not to participate in meetings about the employer's political or religious views.

Another new law allows prosecutors to impose stronger penalties against employers who steal wages from workers.

There's also a new law that increases the minimum benefits for workers' compensation.
