Rochester Woman Sentenced in Fatal Ambulance Crash

A Rochester woman will serve 1-and-a-half to 4 years in prison for a deadly crash involving an ambulance.

21-year-old Jamila Evans was convicted of manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, and driving while intoxicated back in June.

Prosecutors say Evans was high on marijuana and drunk when her car ran a red light and plowed into an ambulance at Central Park and North Goodman Street in June 2021.

Her passenger, 23-year-old Autumn Johnson, died in the crash.
