Rochester Man Gets 25 Years in Peckham St. Homicide

A Rochester man will serve 25 years in prison for a November 2021 homicide.

21-year-old Jailyn Johnson pleaded guilty last month to manslaughter and a gun crime.

Prosecutors say he shot and killed 15-year-old Ja’mere Wade near a drug house on Peckham Street, just off Norton Street.

An RPD SWAT team arrested Johnson in June of last year.

He allegedly had a loaded gun on him at the time.
