Gates police are investigating a fight overnight at the Motel 6 on Chili Avenue.
Police Chief Robert Long says it started with an argument, turned into a fight, and three people were stabbed.
So far no one has been charged, but Long says police know the players and are sorting out the facts.
At least one of the victims worked at the motel.
The stabbing victims are expected to survive.
