Federal prosecutors say a Spencerport 6th-grade teacher posed as a Spencerport High School student in order to get a minor girl to film a sexually explicit video.
37-year-old Ian Milam of Pittsford was arrested on charges of production, receipt and possession of child pornography, and sending obscene material to a minor.
The prosecutor handling his case says the investigation into Milam began when Greece Police learned of the explicit video on a 12-year-old girl's phone.
Investigators found she'd gotten it from an 11-year-old friend, who had gotten it from a Snapchat user.
That user account was traced to Milam, who's accused of inducing the girl to make the video.
Milam made an appearance in federal court today and is being held pending a hearing on Monday.
