UPDATE: Rochester General Hospital Nurses Strike Starts Today

The nurses at Rochester General Hospital are set to being a two-day walk-out.

The strike starts at 7 a.m.

The nurses union and Rochester Regional Health failed again to reach an agreement on pay and staffing issues during two days of talks this week.

Nurse Claire Gardner tells 13 WHAM keeping the hospital running with replacement nurses will cost the hospital around $4 million.

Rochester General says it will keep operating -- and says that people who have scheduled tests or surgical procedures should come in as scheduled.

The strike ends at 7:00 Saturday morning.
