The State Assembly May Reconsider a New Seneca Nation Gaming Compact

State Assembly members are talking about convening special legislative session this fall to consider a new gaming compact with the Seneca Nation.

Rochester Assemblyman Harry Bronson tells The Daily Gazette in Albany there are no new major developments in the negotiations -- but he says any new deal will not include a full-scale casino in the Rochester area.

The state Senate this spring approved a compact that includes a Rochester casino. The Assembly didn't vote, after Rochester area lawmakers objected.

The current agreement expires December 9.
