Ontario County Health Authorities say a feral cat that bit two people in Canandaigua turned out to have rabies.
Ontario County Public Health says the two people who were bitten are receiving rabies treatment.
They urge cat and dog owners to make sure their animals are vaccinated against rabies, even if they spend most of their time indoors.
They say you should never ignore a bite from any animal, whether wild or someone's pet.
