Voting For Pay Raises for Monroe County Elected Officials Held Tonight

The Monroe County Legislature is scheduled tonight to vote tonight on pay raises for elected officials.

The County’s Compensation Policy Commission issued a report in May, recommending raising the pay for the County Executive by 50 percent, to $180,000.

The County Clerk would get a 42 percent raise, and legislators would see their pay go up by 58 percent.

Pay for the sheriff would rise 17 percent to $175,000.

Pay for most offices has not increased in at least 20 years.
