Credit card skimmers are turning up at Walmart stores, and authorities have now confirmed incidents at stores in Canandaigua and Geneva.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says two men and a woman installed them over the July 4th holiday weekend.
They're designed to resemble,and fit over, the existing credit card scanner.
They're used to steal account information from unsuspecting customers.
The Sheriff's Office has released a security photo of the three suspects.
The photo is similar to that released by state police from a Walmart in Erwin, near Corning, in Steuben County.
The trio is believed to be responsible for placing skimmers at other Walmarts in the Southern Tier and the Syracuse region.
