Teen Arrested last Friday in Rochester Caught With Another Stolen Vehicle

There is a follow-up to the story last Friday about a police chase in Irondequoit involving a stolen car.

Police Chief Scott Peters says the juvenile suspect has been arrested again with another stolen vehicle.

He says the teen had to be charged with a misdemeanor so he could be kept in a juvenile facility.

Peters says a felony charge would have allowed the teen to be released with an appearance ticket.

He calls that "madness."

Last week's pursuit started in the North Winton Road area, and ended when the teen ditched the car in Rochester and was caught when he tried to make a run for it.
