Today is Primary Day.
Some of the winner's of today's primary elections won't be facing opponents in the November election, meaning they will effectively win an office tonight but won't start work until January.
Democrats in Rochester will decide races for four city council seats.
Three incumbents are seeking new terms.
Seven Democrats are running for the four seats on the school board.
Democrats also will decide six Monroe County Legislative races.
There's also a Republican primary for the Legislature's 4th District.
In Pittsford, two former Republicans are competing for spots on the Working Families Party line for the November town council election.
