2 Rochester Men Face Gun Charges

Rochester police are announcing two more gun arrests.

One happened Friday near Genesee and Hawley streets.

When officers spotted a wanted man, he ran and tossed away a loaded untraceable gun.

Vidal Whitley was wanted for firing a gun into the air last month, and for pointing a gun at someone last week.

He was prohibited from owning a gun because of a prior assault conviction.

The second arrest happened Saturday evening.

A man involved in a domestic dispute, near Hudson Avenue, was spotted with a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number.

Ronnie Rutledge was booked on gun charges.
