Nearly 50 Arrested in 7-County Drug Bust

State Attorney General Letita James says a major drug ring operating in our area has been taken down.

James says 48 people have been arrested and charged.

James also says a series of raids turned up over $9 million worth of drugs.

Several illegal guns and over $400,000 in cash was also recovered.

The investigation spanned 7 counties.

All 48 arrested will face drug charges.

Michael Danzey of Sodus is also charged with Attempted Murder and Assault in a 2021 shooting.

And Luis and Jacob Rivera have been charged with Operating as a Major Trafficker, which carries a maximum of 25 years to life, for running a major portion of the operation at their home on Avenue D in Rochester.
