Rochester City Councilman Willie Lightfoot is hosting a summit today on gun violence.
It's billed as a day of conversations, ideas and informative presentations with faith leaders and elected officials.
It's going on all day at the Prayer House Church of God by Faith on Cumberland Street.
State Attorney Letitia James is scheduled to speak at noon. Mayor Malik Evans also will attend.
And James has also scheduled an announcement this afternoon in Rochester about law enforcement and efforts to protect public safety.
