UPDATE: Authorities have released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in Hamlin.
Deputies say 56-year-old John Sackett of Hamlin ran through a stop sign and struck a tree at the Lake Road East Fork and West Fork split Wednesday night.
Hackett was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
