NY Cannabis Board Settles Suit Blocking Region's Dispensary Licenses

New York’s Cannabis Control Board has settled a lawsuit that clears the way for dispensary licenses to be granted in the Finger Lakes region.

A Michigan-based company sued last fall, claiming it was discriminated against by a state law granting the first licenses to New Yorkers or family members with past marijuana convictions.

A judge had issued a preliminary injunction, blocking the state from issuing licenses in our region while the case played out.

Terms of the deal will remain confidential until it's filed and approved, which is expected to happen later this week.
