Rochester Man Pleads Guilty in N. Plymouth Ave. Homicide

A Rochester parolee has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a homicide last year.

30-year-old Justin Singleton admitted shooting 46-year-old Jan Perez to death on North Plymouth Avenue, near Smith Street, last Mother's Day.

Police believe the shooting was connected to the drug trade.

Singleton was paroled from a weapon conviction three weeks before the homicide.

He'll be formally sentenced to 25 years in prison next month.
