Hickey Freeman Moving Production to Mexico

Hickey Freeman is moving production of its legendary suits from Rochester to Mexico at the end of May.

They've been produced in the plant on North Clinton Avenue since 1899.

The Hickey Freeman label is currently made by Luxury Men's Apparel Group which has lost its license to use the name.

The factory will continue to produce clothing for other brands and jobs will not be affected.

Hickey Freeman suits currently amount to only about a fourth of the production capacity at the North Clinton plant.
