Rochester City Schools Aim to Prevent Joyriding on School Grounds

The Rochester City School District is looking to prevent more joyriding on school grounds.

The district has put up temporary barriers outside some schools to prevent drivers from threatening students.

Someone drove onto a sidewalk at Monroe High School last week, scattering the students outside.

The district installed barriers last month at Franklin high, after a similar incident there.

Meantime, a parent tells News8 a Kia sped toward students at dismissal time Wednesday at the School of the Arts
